A 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection to the murder of his father, who was attacked at a subdivided flat in Mong Kok.

Police said the 49-year-old Nepalese man received multiple head and thigh wounds after 5pm on Sunday, and was certified dead at hospital in the early hours of Monday.

A chopper was found in the flat on Canton Road, where police say there was traces of a fight.

Police suspect an argument over money led to the incident.

The son was the oldest of three siblings, and he was arrested in Yau Ma Tei hours after the alleged attack.
