Police have arrested a 52-year-old man on suspicion of intimidating a KMB unionist.

The chairman of the KMB Employees Union, Kwok Chi-shing, made a report to police on Friday after receiving threatening messages from a fellow bus driver on the WhatsApp messaging service.

The man, claiming to be a triad member, demanded Kwok refrain from "stirring up a fuss" in areas from North Point to Wan Chai or risk being attacked.

Kwok's union participated in a territory-wide work-to-rule action on Friday, demanding shorter working hours for bus drivers.
