    Man dies in Kowloon City traffic accident

Police are investigating a traffic accident in Kowloon City on Thursday evening in which a 50-year-old man died. At about 9 pm, he was driving on Argyle Street towards Mong Kok when his car collided with a taxi driven in the opposite direction near Waterloo Road. The two drivers and their two female passengers were trapped and had to be rescued by firemen.

Both drivers and the taxi passenger were unconscious and the private car driver was later declared dead in hospital. His passenger was conscious when hospitalised.

Meanwhile, a car behind the taxi was hit by a motorcyclist, who failed to brake in time and was injured and also sent to hospital.
