Passengers on board an All Nippon Airways plane bound for Hong Kong from Tokyo were evacuated on Monday after a smoke scare.
Flight NH809 carrying 137 people was about to depart from Tokyo Narita Airport at 9:50am when the cabin suddenly filled with smoke.
Japanese media reported that at last four passengers fell sick.
Local transport authorities said it had not found evidence of fire in the cabin of the Boeing 767 aircraft.
The return flight from Hong Kong, NH810, which was scheduled for 14.55 on Monday was rescheduled for 01.30 on Tuesday, the airline's website showed.
