Customs officers said on Sunday that they had seized around 3,400 counterfeit smartphone parts in a territory-wide operation.
Officers also confiscated about 100 knock-off phones worth a total of about HK$1.5 million.
They said some of the fake parts, such as batteries and cases purportedly from well-known brands, were found in a shop that fixes broken phones.
Another store was suspected of re-packaging counterfeit parts into old smartphones and then passing the mobiles off as new.
