Chief Secretary Matthew Cheung on Sunday called on lawmakers to pass funding requests involving five hospitals as soon as possible.

The requests involve four redevelopment projects, including the ones at Queen Mary and Kwong Wah hospitals, as well as a new one in Kai Tak.

Writing in his weekly blog, Cheung said these proposals are part of a ten-year hospital development plan.

Cheung said the items will be tabled in the legislature by the summer break.
