The Chief Executive Carrie Lam will attend events in Sichuan to be held this Saturday to mark the 10th anniversary of the 2008 earthquake.

Lam, who will start her trip on Thursday, will also launch a high-level platform for senior officials from the SAR and the Sichuan governments to meet regularly.

After her return on Sunday, she will fly to Bangkok the same day to attend an annual meeting of the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific.

She will also hold trade talks with Thai officials before flying back on Tuesday.

On May 16, Lam will pay visits to Huizhou and Guangzhou to inspect the two Great Bay Area cities. She will, for the first time, meet the Party Secretary of Guangdong province, Li Xi.
