Civic Party lawmaker Tanya Chan, who heads a group opposed to the government's plans for the West Kowloon rail terminal, said on Friday that the upcoming passage of the legislation required will not mean their battle over the mainland link is over.
Chan said the joint immigration checkpoint arrangement is part of the government's long-term policy and officials are still trying to withhold a lot of information on the link, such as the returns from the project.
"So this is not the end of the story. Even after passing the bill, this is just the start of another stage," Chan said.
She said the Co-location Concern Group will be staging a rally on June 14 at the Legco protest area from 7pm to register their protest.
The legislation bill is expected to have entered its final phase in Legco by then and could be put to a vote next week.
Chan said the group will also set up street booths, organise street-side forums and continue their online campaign.
