Thirteen people were injured when a green minibus and van collided on Tai Chung Kiu Road near the Regal Riverside Hotel in Sha Tin on Tuesday morning.
The minibus was knocked onto its side by the impact, while the van came to a halt in the middle of the road and was severely damaged. The road was covered with broken glass and debris.
The injured passengers and both drivers were taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries. All were conscious following the incident.
Tai Chung Kiu Road was closed to the direction of Tai Wai and was reopened later.
Meanwhile a man on an electric bicycle was killed after reportedly being hit by a minivan.
Police say the van driver left the scene after the accident in Yuen Long at around 9pm on Monday. The 48-year-old victim had serious head injuries.
Police have arrested a 55-year-old man on suspicion of dangerous driving causing death, and were appealing for witnesses.
