A woman reported being jabbed by a needle placed on the seat of a Long Win Bus on Tuesday morning.

The woman boarded the airport-bound S64X service in Tung Chung at around 9 am.

She told the driver that she had been pricked by a needle in the seat she sat on, suffering a minor injury to her leg.

She sought treatment at North Lantau hospital.

Long Win Bus condemned the incident which it reported to the police. The company also urged passengers to be cautious and to look out for any suspicious items before taking their seats.

Several people were injured in a string of incidents involving needles on bus seats last year. At least one man was arrested in connection with the attacks.
