A woman has died after falling off a waterfall in Ng Tung Chai in Tai Po.

The accident happened around 11am on Friday. A witness said some hikers pulled the unconscious woman from the water.

She was taken to Tun Mun hospital by the Government Flying Service, where she was later pronounced dead.

The witness said the victim, believed to be Filipino, had been taking a selfie at the top of the waterfall, before she lost her footing and fell from the cliff.
