A 25-year-old woman was on Tuesday arrested for allegedly stealing the trademark of a company to sell surgical face masks on social media.

The Customs Department said it received a report from the firm, which complained that its trademark and photos were used on a bogus page of a social media platform.

Officers said the design, photos, colours and wordings of the page were made to look similar to the official page in order to mislead people into believing the masks she was selling were genuine products.

They also said more people could be arrested.
