Five supporters of the police, calling themselves Hong Kong citizens, on Monday gathered outside the police headquarters in Wan Chai to show their support for the force.
One of them, Hong Kong Guangdong Association adviser Tse Long, said "violent clashes" that have happened recently in Hong Kong are not beneficial to the city.
Tse said protesters should not create chaos after their peaceful demonstrations. He also said he hopes people can propose feasible solutions to the current problems instead of non-stop rallying.
The group urged the police to enforce the laws strictly to get rid of the "rioters".
When asked whether the police have been using excessive force, Tse said he thinks people should not blame the police and added that society's focus should be on solving the existing social problems.
Tse said Hong Kong has a close economic relationship with the mainland and people should praise that, instead of going against China.
The others who took part in the rally didn't talk to the media and left soon after handing over their letter to the police.
