Two More Airport Workers Contract Measles

The government's Centre for Health Protection says two more airport workers have contracted measles, taking the total number of cases in the current outbreak to 36.
The first case involves a 37-year-old man, who developed fever last Thursday and rash on Saturday. He does not recall being vaccinated against measles and he had no travel history during the incubation period or the communicable period.
The second case involves a 24-year-old woman, who developed fever Last Tuesday and rash on Friday. She had been vaccinated. She travelled to Shenzhen during the incubation period.
Both the patients are in a stable condition.
The outbreak is centred on the airport, with airport workers accounting for 16 of the cases.
On Sunday, a leading microbiologist Yuen Kwok-yung, encouraged airport management to increase air circulation there as a precaution.
The Department of Health doesn't expect the outbreak to end in the near future. It has introduced vaccination and blood testing services.
