Two men have been arrested following separate drug busts at the airport.
A 40-year-old man was detained on Saturday in Cheung Sha Wan after 2.1 kilos of suspected methamphetamine was found hidden in a parcel from Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam earlier this month. The drugs had been hidden in four sets of children's puzzle play mats. He will appear at West Kowloon Magistrates' Courts on Monday.
Also on Saturday, customs officers detained a 33-year-old passenger who had arrived on a flight from Addis Ababa in Ethiopia.
During customs clearance, 6.5 kilos of suspected cocaine was found hidden inside the front and back covers of six books that had been placed in his suitcase.
The drugs have an estimated street value of HK$8.24 million.
