Two Flights Arranged For Stranded Residents In UK

The government on Thursday announced that two flights have been arranged to bring back scores of residents who have been stranded in the UK for months.
The two Cathay Pacific flights – CX2252 – will depart from London on April 21 and April 28 at 9.10am.
People who want to come back can reserve tickets through the airline’s website on April 8, and officials will monitor the situation to see if additional flights need to be arranged.
All passengers will be required to show proof that they had tested negative for Covid-19 within 72 hours of departure; and they must observe 21 days of quarantine at a specified hotel in Tsing Yi after they return.
Authorities say they would be tested repeatedly during the quarantine period.
Hong Kong had suspended flights from the UK from December 22 last year after a more infectious coronavirus variant hit the country.
But officials announced earlier this week that the flight ban would be lifted because of the drop in the number of cases there and the roll-out of vaccines.
