The HKEX Board of Directors has approved the renewal of the employment contract of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) Chief Executive Officer, Bonnie Y Chan, for a further three-year term from 1 March 2027 to 28 February 2030.

Chan’s appointment is approved by the Securities and Futures Commission, in accordance with Section 70(1) of the Securities and Futures Ordinance.

Chan commented on her LinkedIn page on the appointment, saying,

“The opportunities before us are immense, and I am excited to continue working with our Board, our partners and our stakeholders, to build on the strong foundations we have created together.”

She brings 30+ years of global capital markets leadership and expertise and was also featured on Asia’s Power Businesswomen 2024 by Forbes.
