  • Two arrested over death of man in hotel room

Police said on Saturday that they had arrested two men on suspicion of manslaughter after another man was found dead in a hotel room in Central in the early hours of the morning.

A 38-year old foreign national, understood to be American, was arrested at the scene while a 44-year-old local man was arrested later in Aberdeen.

Police said a small quantity of drugs was found a at the scene after officers were called in by staff of the Hotel Madera in Hollywood Road at around 1.30am.

Investigations are continuing and a post-mortem will take place on the 40-year-old deceased.
