Twenty-five people have been injured in a traffic accident involving a light rail train and a tour bus in Yuen Long at about 5 pm on Monday. Most of the injuries were minor but two people suffered more serious injuries.

The incident took place near the Nai Wai light rail station in Hung Shui Kiu.

Police are probing whether a red light had been run. The bus driver passed a breathalyser test.

The Transport Department said light rail services were disrupted after the accident.

Rail authorities arranged shuttle bus services to operate from Yuen Long to Siu Hong and Tin Shui Wai to Siu Hong.
