Top officials and politicians on Monday paid their final respects to former security secretary Ambrose Lee, who passed away in his sleep last month at the age of 73.

Those who attended Lee’s funeral service in Hung Hom included former chief executives Carrie Lam and CY Leung, as well as Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Erick Tsang, security chief Chris Tang, civil service head Ingrid Yeung, and police chief Raymond Siu.

The convenor of the Executive Council, Regina Ip, and chief secretary Eric Chan, meanwhile, served as pallbearers.

Lee had served in the government for 38 years.

After his retirement from the administration, Lee served as a local deputy to the National People’s Congress between 2013 and 2018.
