    Taxi driver dies in late-night crash

A taxi driver has died after his vehicle crashed into a private car in Sha Tin in the early hours of Friday morning.

The 68-year-old was trapped in his car and sustained serious head and chest injuries. A 62-year-old female passenger was taken to hospital with hand injuries.

The driver of the private car, who is 33, received head injuries and was unconscious when taken to hospital. He's been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

The accident happened shortly after midnight on Ngau Pei Sha Street near Tate's Cairn Highway.
