A crash between two double-decker buses just outside the Tai Lam Tunnel left 74 people injured on Tuesday morning.

A Citybus and a KMB bus were involved in the accident at about 8.30am.

Around two dozen passengers had to be taken to hospital, with six of them suffering serious injuries.

A man on the Citybus told RTHK that many passengers were asleep at the time of the crash so they couldn't do anything to protect themselves when they were thrown from their seats.

The slow lane of the Tsing Long Highway was closed after the accident, and the Transport Department warned of serious congestion in the area for a time.
