Pam Kaur, HSBC‘s Group Chief Financial Officer, plans to leave the role in 2027.

She will not stand for re-election as a director at the 2027 annual general meeting.

Her exact retirement date will be confirmed later. It will be no later than the AGM.

After leaving her full-time role, Kaur will take on an advisory role.

She will support Group CEO Georges Elhedery on strategic projects. This will run until the end of 2028.

The board has started a search for her successor. It will look at candidates from inside and outside the bank.

“With the bank in a strong place, financially and strategically,

2027 feels the right time in my career to embrace new leadership opportunities and apply my experience in a different context,”

said Pam Kaur.

Shareholders approved this policy at the 2025 AGM. She has been granted Good Leaver status.

Her deferred and long-term incentive awards will keep vesting on schedule. Standard retention, malus and clawback rules still apply.

This status depends on her not joining a competing firm before the awards vest.

She remains eligible for a 2026 incentive award. She is also eligible for a partial 2027 award, based on her contribution and the date she leaves.
