Police have arrested a man in connection with Friday's shooting in Sham Shui Po.

The 34-year-old suspect is accused of wounding with intent. Three others - his friend and their girlfriends - are also in custody. Officers say say they found two imitation firearms during their investigations.

Police say the suspect was attacked by five men with steel rods in a money dispute over gambling on Cheung Sha Wan Road near Kweilin Street, and he shot one of the assailants in the arm.

The 33-year-old shooting victim, who's from the mainland, has also been arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon after he was discharged from hospital.
