The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has appointed former J.P. Morgan Asset Management executive Elisa Ng as its new Executive Director of Investment Products for a term of three years.
The regulator also announced the reappointment of Lisa Chen as Executive Director of Legal Services for another three years. Both appointments were made by the Financial Secretary of Hong Kong.
Ng joins the regulatory body after more than two decades in the asset management sector.

“Elisa’s deep-rooted expertise in asset management, a nuanced understanding of global and local fund markets, and a distinguished reputation forged through decades of industry leadership, are precisely the attributes we need,”
said Dr Kelvin Wong, Chairman of the SFC.

“Under Lisa’s leadership, our Legal Services Division has stood out as a highly agile, proactive team of trusted advisors to cope with the challenges in litigation and a changing financial landscape,”
said Julia Leung, Chief Executive Officer of the SFC.
The appointments place Ng and Chen at the forefront of Hong Kong’s financial regulatory framework.
