The MTR says there has been a power supply problem near Kowloon Tong MTR Station. It says Kwun Tong Line trains will operate at a slower speed near the station and this will mean longer journey times along the length of the line.

Some passengers said they had to leave their train during the disruption and the lights in some compartments suddenly went off.

A police report said the incident occurred at about 7.30 pm.
