Police are investigating a suspected attempted murder and suicide case in Ma On Shan, in which a 44-year-old woman died.

On Saturday night, officers received a report from a 44-year-old man that his wife had been injured and had collapsed in a unit in Sai Sha Road.

The woman was found unconscious in the living room with neck injuries. She was rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital where she was certified dead.

The man also sustained neck injuries, and was also taken to Prince of Wales hospital in a conscious state.

Officers seized a knife and clothing at the scene, and are investigating.
