Police say they have seized ketamine with a street value of HK$40 million from an industrial unit in Kwai Chung.

The force said some 50 boxes containing 62 kilogrammes of the drug were found during an operation on Tuesday.

A 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking.

Police said they found ketamine wrapped inside cling film and put into bags, and then hidden inside the bottom of lotion containers.

Officers said they believe the drug was destined to be sold in Hong Kong but they're still investigating where it came from.
