Police are investigating a murder and suicide case in Cheung Sha Wan on Monday in which a 30-year-old woman and her 5-year-old son died.

At 9:55 am, the police received a report from a security guard that the pair had been found on a podium at 28 Sham Mong Road.

They were suspected to have fallen from height.

The woman and the boy were certified dead at the scene.

Initial investigations revealed that they fell from a unit at the above location.

Post-mortem examinations will be conducted later to ascertain the causes of death.

The Sham Shui Po District Crime Squad is investigating.
