  • Police classify Sham Shui Po boy's death as murder

The police have classified the death of a five-year-boy who was found unconscious in a Sham Shui Po flat in the early hours on Saturday as murder.

Officers received a report from a woman just before 1am that the boy was unconscious in a flat on Shek Kip Mei Street.

He was taken to Kwong Wah Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Sources said multiple injuries were found on the boy's body, adding that he's suspected of suffering from malnutrition.

It's understood that the boy's mother has been arrested in connection with the case.
