  • No infection found during South Horizons lockdown

The government said on Saturday that it found no coronavirus cases after testing around 950 residents in a building in South Horizons in Ap Lei Chau during an overnight ambush-style lockdown.

Authorities sealed off Yee Lai Court, or Block 10 of South Horizons on Friday evening after a resident contracted the virus, with her source of infection still unknown.

The operation ended at around 7:30am on Saturday.

The government said their staff visited around 330 households during their operation, including 20-odd households which did not answer the door.

It urged the remaining households to contact the authorities to get tested as soon as possible.
