Taiwan's China Airlines cancelled another two dozen or so flights on Sunday, including some to and from Hong Kong, after negotiations with a pilots' union broke down.

The union, which is demanding additional manpower on long-haul flights, told the Central News Agency on Saturday night that no further talks were yet planned.

Two flights from Taoyuan airport to Hong Kong were among those cancelled on Sunday, as well as two in the opposite direction.

Two evening flights between Hong Kong and Kaohsiung were expected to be considerably delayed, the airline said.

A small number of flight cancellations have already been announced for Monday, although they do not include services to or from Hong Kong.

More than 60 flights have been pulled in total so far because of the strike, which began on Friday morning.
