A Hong Kong man who has faced numerous accusations of sexual assault on disabled women was on Thursday found guilty of attacking a girl at his school more than three decades ago.
Cheung Kin-wah, 57, kissed and groped his visually impaired victim between 1982 and 1986, with the abuse starting when she was just seven years old.
The victim, who is now 44 and fully blind, told the District Court that she had been too afraid to report the indecent assaults at the time because Cheung was a star student.
Cheung, who is himself visually impaired, later went on to work at the same school for people with sight problems and his attacks on the girl continued.
His victim decided to go to the police in 2016 after hearing Cheung on the news. He had been accused of raping a mentally disabled woman in 2002 at a rehabilitation centre he ran. The charge was dropped because the woman was unable to testify.
He was also acquitted of molesting two mentally disabled residents.
Cheung, who had denied five counts of indecent assault, was remanded in custody and is due to be sentenced on June 6.
