Police say they have made an arrest in connection with an attack on an elderly man in Pacific Place.

Officers said they received a report on Wednesday evening about a man lying unconscious inside the mall in Admiralty.

They said the man, aged 70, suffered injuries to his head and face and was left critically ill.

A 23-year-old suspect was arrested in Mui Wo on Thursday and was being detained while investigations continued.

Police appealed for any witnesses to the incident to get in touch with them.
