The Police Commissioner, Stephen Lo, says initial investigations suggests a shooting in Sham Shui Po on Friday night was over a financial dispute.

A mainlander is in stable condition after being injured in his arm in the incident

Officers say the 33-year-old had an argument with another man and attacked him with a metal rod.

The suspect then pulled out a gun and shot at him.

Police sealed off the scene and temporarily closed an entrance to the station, while officers wearing helmets and bulletproof vests patrolled the area.

Officers are still searching for the gunman.
