Most polling stations closed at 10.30pm on Sunday for the 2021 Legislative Council elections, with at least 1.3 million people having cast their ballots.
Polling hours for 11 stations were extended slightly to make up for slight delays earlier in the day due to various technical difficulties.
Election authorities say 1,309,601 people had cast ballots in the geographical constituency races by 9.30pm, representing 29.3 percent of the electorate.
At the same time in the previous polls in 2016, the turnout was at 52.6 percent.
Turnout for functional constituency seats reached 30.9 percent by 9.30pm, with 67,654 electors having cast ballots.
In 2016 the turnout figure was 66 percent.
For the new Election Committee seats, 98.1 percent of the 1,448 registered voters had cast ballots.
