About a dozen lawmakers from the Legco Commission surveyed the damage at the complex on Thursday before heading to a special meeting at the Queensway Government Offices.
Legco president Andrew Leung, deputy chairwoman of the commission Starry Lee, and opposition lawmaker Helena Wong were among those inspecting the damage.
The commission is meeting to discuss the storming of the Legco complex by hundreds of protesters on Monday evening.
Leung is expected to speak to reporters after the meeting.
Meanwhile, workers have started repairing the damage to the Legco building, covering broken glass walls with wooden panels.
Journalists have also been invited to visit the complex on Thursday afternoon to collect any belongings or equipment they had left there.
