The new Chief Executive, John Lee, has urged the people of Hong Kong to join hands and write a new page for the territory, as he opened a series of social media accounts to enhance communication with the public.

Lee posted photos of a sunrise over Victoria Harbour on his new Facebook, Instagram, and Weibo pages, saying the photo would make people feel full of life and energy.

"I have a new mission this morning," he wrote.

"I will share my work and life online and hope it will help me better communicate with the public. Let's join hands to write a new page for Hong Kong."

He also posted a photo of his wife, Janet, fixing his tie.

He thanked her for her support and care, saying this had allowed him to focus on his work.

Lee said he would continue to depend on his wife's help in the coming five years so that he could work wholeheartedly for the happiness of every family in Hong Kong.
