Health authorities on Saturday confirmed two additional Covid-19 cases – both imported – making it the second consecutive day for the city to record no new local infection.

One of the newly reported cases was an 18-year-old woman arriving from the United Kingdom, while the other flew in from Russia.

The announcement came as the government prepares to relax compulsory quarantine requirements on some fully-vaccinated travellers.

The government published a list of 20 recognised antibody testing institutions, including private hospitals and laboratories such as Canossa and Adventist hospitals on Stubbs Road and in Tsuen Wan, as well as Prenetics and KingMed Diagnostics.

From June 30, fully vaccinated Hongkongers returning to the city from low-risk places can have their mandatory hotel quarantine shortened to seven days plus seven days of self-monitoring, if they have a positive antibody report issued by one of the recognised testing institutions and have tested negative for the coronavirus.
