Hong Kong on Thursday reported eight new coronavirus infections, all of them locally acquired.
Three of the cases have no clear source of infection. They are two housewives and a worker at an elderly care home in Kwun Tong.
About 50 residents and 30 staff members of the care home have been sent to quarantine.
Meanwhile, 65 people who live at eight buildings in To Kwa Wan were fined HK$5,000 after they failed to show proof that they tested negative for the virus.
Officials conducted spot checks at the buildings, which were previously subject to a mandatory testing order.
