Health officials on Monday reported 4,766 new Covid infections, including 446 imported cases.

The tally was down from that of the previous day, when 5,210 cases were logged.

Twelve more patients with the coronavirus have died.

Meanwhile, the vice-chancellor of the University of Hong Kong has tested positive for Covid.

The institution's spokesperson said Zhang Xiang is being isolated and his office and residence will be thoroughly disinfected.
