Health authorities on Thursday recorded eight new imported Covid cases, involving people who flew in from Pakistan, Nepal and the Philippines.
Officials said Nepal Airlines flights from Kathmandu were temporarily banned from Thursday, after one of its flights brought in three infected passengers on Tuesday.
The ban will remain in force until October 20.
Meanwhile, the government said its outreach vaccination team would administer Sinovac jabs to residents of Kwai Tsing District at Cheung Fat Estate Community Centre, from October 11 to 13.
“The government appeals to persons who are not yet vaccinated, in particular the elderly, to seize the opportunity to get vaccinated. This is the best way for people to protect themselves amid the epidemic," said Civil Service Secretary Patrick Nip, who is in charge of the vaccination programme.
Hong Kong has so far confirmed a total of 12,251 coronavirus infections.
