Hong Kong on Thursday reported 5,433 new Covid-19 cases, including 335 imported infections.

The daily tally was slightly higher than the 5,124 infections reported on Wednesday.

A further nine patients with Covid have died.

Health officials also reported that they'd found the first case of the BA.4.6 strain detected in the SAR.
