Health officials on Sunday reported 300 new Covid infections – around 60 fewer than the previous day.
Of the new cases, 119 were confirmed via PCR tests and 181 through rapid antigen tests.
The Centre for Health Protection's Chuang Shuk-kwan said there were 22 imported cases, and the number might go up after Hong Kong opened its doors again to non-locals on Sunday.
"There would maybe [be] an increasing number of imported cases because of the increasing number of flights or passengers to Hong Kong," she said.
She added that a rebound in infections was possible when social distancing measures were relaxed, although the daily Covid tally has been on a downward trend.
Meanwhile, the Hospital Authority reported five more Covid-related deaths, including a woman who had diabetes.
The authority's Lau Ka-hin said the 53-year-old had fainted at home and bumped her head a week ago. She was later found to have suffered a brain haemorrhage.
He said she tested positive for Covid with a low viral load when she was admitted to hospital.
Separately, Lau said depending on the pandemic development, some Covid clinics will revert to being general out-patient clinics.
He said non-emergency services at public hospitals have also increased.
