Health officials on Sunday reported 9,487 new coronavirus cases, including 657 imported cases.

The daily tally was down from the 10,111 reported on Saturday.

Sixteen more people with Covid have died.

Meanwhile, the Cluster Chief Executive of the Hospital Authority's Kowloon East Cluster, Deacons Yeung, has tested positive for the coronavirus.

A spokesman from the authority said he last went to work on Friday, and is currently under isolation.
