Two nurses from the Caritas Hospital died in a car crash while on holiday in Jordan on Tuesday.

The hospital said has contacted their families and is trying to provide all necessary assistance.

The hospital expressed deep regret and sadness over the incident and extended condolences to the families.

The Immigration Department said that after learning of the incident, it got in touch with local authorities through the Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong and the Chinese Embassy in Jordan.

It said it has contacted the parties to provide appropriate advice and assistance.
