The government said Hongkongers can expect to start receiving Covid-19 jabs next month, as it's seeking to finish preparations by the end of January.
Civil service minister Patrick Nip, who's in charge of the vaccination programme, said on Saturday that priority groups could get free jabs at elderly homes, hospitals, clinics and public vaccination centres.
Writing on social media, Nip said the government understood the public had questions about the jabs, and the government would hold a public education drive to address them.
"We will let people have scientific knowledge and make an informed choice in getting vaccinated, so as to achieve the aim of protecting themselves and fighting the epidemic," he wrote.
Nip added that officials involved in the vaccination programme met for the first time on Tuesday, and discussed concerns such as where the vaccines would be administered, deciding who should have priority and the vaccination arrangements for elderly.
