Gunman Arrested After Robbing BEA In Central

Police have detained a man in connection with a robbery in Central on Wednesday.
A man armed with what looked like a handgun robbed the Bank of East Asia's headquarters at around 3:30pm.
In a widely circulated video of the incident, the robber, who was dressed in black and believed to be Chinese, is seen threatening two members of staff with a gun. Then one of the employees put some money into a bag which the robber grabs and walks away.
Sources said the man took around HK$70,000.
Armed police officers were sent to the area to try and track the robber down.
