The government says it will livestream the memorial service for the late former president Jiang Zemin at various community facilities on Tuesday morning.
The service will be held at 10am at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
In a statement, the SAR government said community halls and district offices across the territory will be open from 9.30am on Tuesday to facilitate members of the public to watch the live broadcast.
An announcement from Jiang's funeral committee earlier said people across the country will observe three minutes of silence during the ceremony.
Authorities also announced that no funeral will be held.
