Five More Measles Cases Take Total To 25

Five more people have been diagnosed with measles in Hong Kong, health chiefs announced on Tuesday, with the airport again at the centre of the outbreak.
The new cases take the total number of people diagnosed with measles this year to 25; there were just 15 cases in the whole of last year.
Three of the five cases involved airline staff or airport workers, said Dr Wong Ka-hing, head of the Centre for Health Protection.
Of the 25, about half were born outside Hong Kong, and many had recently travelled outside the SAR.
Hong Kong authorities have taken steps to vaccinate airport workers after an outbreak of measles in the city.
Earlier, lawmaker and doctor Kwok Ka-ki suggested offering vaccination to domestic helpers and migrants from the mainland, who may not have been vaccinated as children.
